We commemorate those members of the Stony Brook family who were lost on September 11, 2001. Their deaths strengthen our resolve as a University community to foster the most basic ideals of freedom and equality.

Day of Remembrance and Commemoration
Each year, we honor alumni and other members of the Stony Brook family whose lives have been lost and impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.
Stony Brook World Trade Center Health and Wellness Program
Healthcare program for 9/11 responders that provides medical monitoring and treatment services and conducts research on the health impacts of response and recovery efforts. The program also offers educational resources, including the NYS-Approved 9/11 High School Curriculum and the Remembering 9/11 Oral History Project, which preserve and share the legacy of 9/11 within our communities.
