Our Commitment to Integrity and Accountability
At Stony Brook University, we believe that compliance is more than just adhering to
regulations, it is the foundation of our institutional integrity. Every member of
our campus community shares the responsibility of sustaining the high ethical, professional,
and legal standards required to advance our mission of excellence in education, research,
and world-class healthcare.
It is not simply about keeping pace with federal regulations, state mandates, or university policies. It is about protecting and enabling our collective mission. Compliance and Ethics serves as a strategic partner to faculty, staff, and leadership, working proactively to streamline regulatory processes and ensure that Stony Brook remains an ethical, and inclusive environment for everyone.
At its core, institutional compliance and ethics empowers SBU to achieve President Goldsmith’s ASPIRE 2035 vision with confidence. By embedding ethical standards and compliance into daily operations, we safeguard the university's reputation, protect critical resources, and maintain the trust of the public we serve.
Whether you are seeking guidance on policy, looking for compliance training resources, or need to raise a concern through our reporting mechanisms, the office is here to support you.
