purposes and assignments to help you develop awareness, skills, and knowledge of how
they work. Other instructors might make it clear in the syllabus or in class that
the use of generative AI is inappropriate for the assignments in that class. If you’re unsure about using generative AI for a particular assignment, it’s a good
