Dilara Şengül is a Ph.D. student in Philosophy at Stony Brook University. Her work is situated at the intersection of critical phenomenology, decolonial thought, and Marxist feminist philosophy. Central to her research is an engagement with Frantz Fanon's theorization of racialized embodiment and colonial subjectivity, which she brings into dialogue with Marxist feminist frameworks to examine alterity and the fragmented or multiplied experience of racialized, gendered subjectivity. She received her B.A. in Philosophy from Boğaziçi University, where she co-founded the Boğaziçi University Philosophy Society and participated in the Erasmus exchange program at KU Leuven, home to the Husserl Archives.
