Analects of Dasan: A Korean Syncretic Reading (Vol. I-VI)

With support from the Academy of Korean Studies, the Center launched a major research and translation project on Dasan Jeong Yak-yong's Old and New Commentaries of the Analects. Completed over a decade (2013–2026), the project resulted in a six-volume English translation, written by Dr. Hongkyung Kim and published by Oxford University Press.

Widely regarded as Dasan's masterpiece and the culmination of his scholarship on the Confucian classics, Old and New Commentaries of the Analects is one of the most significant achievements of Korean Confucianism. By making this monumental work accessible to an international audience, the project has substantially advanced the global study of Korean intellectual history and Confucian philosophy.
