Center for Hellenic Studies

Explore the language, history, and culture of Greece through the Center for Hellenic Studies at Stony Brook University.

About

The Center for Hellenic Studies is the hub for the study of Greek language, history, culture, and society at Stony Brook University. Here, we connect students with the traditions of Hellenism while building bridges to the Greek-American communities of Long Island and New York. Opened in 2017, the Center is home to the Peter V. Tsantes Endowed Professorship and continues to grow through the support of the local Hellenic community.
