Research Interests

Yuyin Tang's postdoctoral research focuses on development of novel treatment techniques and bioremediation strategies for the removal of emerging contaminants (e.g. 1,4-dioxane) from groundwater. Dr. Tang’s research specifically focuses on i) understanding the mechanism of 1,4-dioxane biodegradation in biofiltration systems and ii) system design and material evaluation for the treatment of 1,4-dioxane and other emerging contaminants.
