- Served as a university educator for 10 years, founding and moderating the "Latinos
Urbanos Book Club" – dedicated to the reading, reviewing and recommending of literary
works by LatinX and BIPOC authors.
- Conducted linguistic research studying the evolution of speech phonetics, leading
to advancements in pedagogy administered in Spanish language courses.
- Created the Latinos Urbanos Scholarships, awarded to help students of color in support
of their academic goals.
- Received a $25,000 award from musical artist Bad Bunny, and Cheetos, for his continued
efforts and community service in NYC Hispanic communities.
- Created a Back-to-School Backpack Donation Tour throughout schools in NYC and the
Dominican Republic, distributing backpacks full of school supplies and books for students
and their families and also collected more than 1,100 children and adult books to
provide a library for a family shelter and built a free little community library in
The Bronx.
