Tanner Cosgrove
Set Designer for 2008 Fall Season |
Tanner Cosgrove just recently moved to New York city after receiving an MFA in scenic design at the University of Cincinnati's College Conservatory of Music. While there he designed many shows including Floyd Collins, Charley's Aunt, The Lady's Not For Burning, Dangerous Liaisons, Assassins and more. He spent a summer in Lucca, Italy where he designed The Marriage of Figaro for the Opera, Theater, and Music Festival of Lucca. Before graduate school he was the Resident Designer and Technical Director at Grandstreet Theater in Helena, Montana where he designed and/or built fifteen shows in two years. He holds a BFA in Ceramics from the Rhode Island School of Design. In addition to working at SUNY Stony Brook, Tanner is currently employed full time as a carpenter in the scene shop of the Metropolitan Opera. Please visit his website at tannercosgrove.com
