Fall 2004 Nine-Week EEP Academic Calendar
This calendar is for the nine-week
EEP courses only. Students who are enrolled in a 14-week EEP
course (with course numbers that begin with "EST") should
not use this calendar, but should instead follow the main SPD
Academic Calendar for registration and other academic deadlines.
This calendar was accurate as of 5/10/04. It is subject
to changes and updates.
August
Aug. 30, Mon. Electronic
Extension Program (EEP) classes begin. Late registration begins; a $40
late fee applies. This includes students who are automatically enrolled
from the waitlist.
September
Sept. 1, Wed. Last day to
add EEP nine-week courses. Last day of waitlist operation.
Sept. 5, Sun. Last day to
drop a class or withdraw from the University without tuition liability.
Since administrative offices are closed on the weekends and holidays,
students wishing to drop classes on this day must do so ONLINE
or be responsible to pay tuition liability and fees.
Sept. 6, Mon. Labor Day. Administrative
Offices will be closed.
Sept. 13, Mon. Last day to drop or withdraw
from the university without a "W" (withdraw) recorded on student
record. After this date, student may continue to withdraw using SOLAR
until Oct. 29. (NOTE: Students MUST withdraw themselves using SOLAR;
petitions will not be accepted until after the Oct. 29 deadline).
Sept. 14, Tues., Close of Business: Deadline
for Fall degree or certificate candidates to apply for graduation. No
application will be accepted after this date for this term. The
online application can be found on the SPD Website at http://www.stonybrook.edu/spd/current/forms.html.
If graduation application is not received by the deadline
date, student forfeits eligibility to participate in this term's
graduation ceremony and the degree and/or certificate will not be
posted to student's transcript. Students must then file for graduation
by the printed deadline date for the Spring 2005 term. Please be aware
of this deadline date as there may be implications regarding your
employment, teacher certification, salary implement, etc.

courses.

will be recorded). After this date, students must petition
to withdraw.
Oct. 31, Sun. Last day of
EEP nine-week courses.
