Stony Brook Southampton is part of a major research university that is ranked among the top two percent of all universities in the world. It is also part of a rich cultural, social, and environmental community in which the resources to study important problems and come up with solutions are close at hand.

Our location is no accident. In fact, where we are and what surrounds us play a key role in our environmental mission.

Our location, 80 miles east of New York City on Long Island's South Fork, is just steps from the Shinnecock Bay and its connection to the Atlantic Ocean. That translates to a hands-on classroom, research lab, and conservation field station rolled into one. It's an ideal environment for learning by doing.

Visit Stony Brook Southampton and see for yourself how our campus life and learning are interconnected and characterized by a common purpose - sustainability.

Campus tours are offered Tuesday - Friday at 1 p.m. between November 4 and December 12. Tours will depart from the Admissions Office, Room 102 Chancellors Hall. Note: There will be no tours November 27 and 28.
