Deadlines and Dates

Regular Admission (U.S. Residents):

There is no formal deadline for regular decision applicants. Admission is granted on a rolling basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Early Action:

Stony Brook Southampton participates in Early Action, a non-binding early application and notification program for fall freshmen.
Your application must reach us by November 15 and supporting documentation (high school transcripts and SAT/ACT scores) by December 15.

International applicants are not eligible for Early Action.

International Applicants:

For the fall semester the deadline for completed international applications is April 1; for the spring semester, it is October 1.

Notification of Admission Decisions

Applicants for the fall semester are notified of their admission beginning February 1 and on a rolling basis thereafter.

Early Action applicants are notified of their admission by January 1.

Applicants for the spring semester are notified beginning November 1 and on a rolling basis thereafter.
