New Federal Stafford and PLUS Loan Process Begins Summer 2009!
Our process for obtaining Federal Stafford and PLUS loans is changing for next year and will impact both new and continuing borrowers.

- Complete the 2009-2010 version of the FAFSA for summer 2009 and the academic year beginning fall 2009 and ending spring 2010. You might find it helpful to download and complete the optional FAFSA on the Web Worksheet prior to applying online. Stony Brook has a March 1st priority filing deadline to be considered for campus based aid programs including Perkins loans, Federal Work Study, and SEOG.
- Check SOLAR for any outstanding To Do list items.

Fall 2009 TAP and other New York State awards begin to be disbursed upon receipt of successful certification for the Registrar's Office (after 100% tuition liability)
- October 15, 2009
Deadline to submit Aid for Part Time Study Applications (APTS) for the fall 2009 semester.
- November 25, 2009
Spring 2010 semester award packaging and notification begins for newly admitted spring 2010 students with a valid FAFSA on file.
