Robert is a full time faculty member and the Coordinator of Internships for the Educational
Leadership Program. He teaches Educational Leadership Research Seminar, supervises
administrative interns, and has written and taught a course entitled Curriculum Development.
He is entering his sixteenth year teaching in the program.
Robert has also been a doctoral advisor for Nova Southeastern University, a position he has held since 2004. Currently he has 20 doctoral candidates that he is responsible for. His role at Nova is to oversee each individual study and to ensure that students maneuver through the dissertation process.
He retired from the New York State education system in 2003 where he spent thirty three years as a classroom teacher and administrator. His public school career progressed from being a science teacher, Video Instructional Coordinator, Science Chairperson, to a Director of Math, Science, Technology and Computer Science.
Nominated to the Who’s Who in American Education three times, Robert learned curriculum alignment practices and the development of alternative assessment strategies as a New York State Assessment Liaison. This role entailed assisting teachers and school districts during the process of aligning curriculum and instruction to the New York Statestandards and helping them prepare their students for all State assessments.
Robert has owned and operated two successful businesses, served as a Sunday School Director for thirteen years, and was a curriculum director for an environmental camp.
His doctoral study, Improving Student Achievement by Infusing a Web-Based Curriculum into Global History was published in the Fall 2003 issue of the Journal of Research on Technology in Education.
